Styles of Dance

No matter the style you’re interested in, we have the classes you want and the teachers you’ll love.

Contemporary is an extremely fluid and expressive form of modern dance. It is not associated with specific dance techniques, but rather with emotions.

Lyrical routines are fluid in movement and focus on emotion that complements the musical selection. It can best be described as a combination of Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary.

Jazz uses the latest dance moves to latest music. A Jazz routine incorporates stylized dance movements and combinations, formation changes, group work, leaps and turns.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is the latest style of street dancing, as seen in rap video clips. Routines emphasise the street style movements with an emphasis on style, creativity, body isolations and control.

Ballet / Classical

Ballet focuses on the classical technique of the dancer. Ballet is the foundation of most styles of dance. Classical ballet is defined by light, elegant and precise movements. Ballet is a disciplined style of dance with classes designed to improve dancers technique.

Toddler Dance

An interactive dance class with parents and toddlers. We learn basic Jazz & Ballet steps incorporated into fun games to keep the kids attention. We also use circuits to promote motor skills including balancing beams, trolley boards, twirling ribbons, mini trampolines, hoops, stilts, parachute and many other useful pieces of equipment.

Acro Dance

Acro Dance is a combination of Dancing and acro skills incorporating lifts, leaps and balances. We base this class around the jazz / hip hop style and then combine students acro skills.

Whether it be Modern, Latin American or New Vogue, we can teach you all.

Stretch & Conditioning

This class is designed to increase students flexibility and strength. We incorporate the use of therabands, balance boards, barre work and much more.

We also work on conditioning the body to help with focus and stamina for those students who do many routines/classes.

B Boy is a boys only class that combines Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Acrobatics & Strength. Classes will include learning Hip Hop and breakdancing tricks moves taught by our professional Hip Hop Dancer/Teachers.

Tap is a style of dance in which the dancer wears shoes fitted with heel and toe taps.

They work on creating sounds by rhythmically striking the floor. We work on rhythm, fun routines and musicality.

Routines are usually choreographed to the latest popular dance hits. The choreography focuses on developing commercial dance including; rhythm, musicality, pick-up speed and expression. An ideal class for those wanting a challenge, a great workout and to add a bit of sass into their dancing.
